Apple Watch Series3

Freedom Calls

The Apple Watch Series 3 launched alongside the new iPhones, and arguably, it has a more exciting hardware update than the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The Apple Watch is full of features that help you stay active, motivated, and connected. With the release of the Series 3, Apple removed the Series 2 from the lineup, leaving customers with a choice between the Apple Watch Series 1 and the Apple Watch Series 3. Here’s a look at what’s really great about this third-generation Apple Watch. This will also help you see why it’s time to buy an Apple Watch Series 3.

  • Make calls and send texts with just your watch.
  • Stream 40 million songs with Apple Music right from your wrist.
  • Run your day right from your wrist. Ask Siri to set a reminder, send a calendar invitation, or give you directions, all without your iPhone.
  • Leave your phone at home and still get alert from your favorite Apps.
  • Swim-proof and always ready for the pool or ocean.

Speed and Other Internal Improvements

While it might look the same as models that came before, Apple Watch Series 3 couldn’t be more different on the inside. Along with LTE, there’s also a new S3 processor and W2 wireless chips, which give the Series 3 Apple Watch a tremendous speed boost.

Navigation and animations are much smoother now, but most importantly, apps open much quicker. Siri’s responsiveness is particularly impressive, but everything from stocks to sports to weather now load within a second or two. That makes Apple Watch Series 3 much more of a standalone device, even without LTE.

LTE

As previously mentioned the next big Apple Watch Series 3 feature is, of course LTE. LTE is a game changer, and a large selling point based on the cool-factor alone. Being able to leave your iPhone in the car as you go for a run, while still maintaining basic connectivity, is truly a great feeling. iPhone runs out of battery? You can still make that emergency call with your Apple Watch. You know the feeling when you reach your destination and paw at the outside of your pocket to feel the phone-sized lump and it isn’t there and you panic? With an LTE-equipped Apple Watch Series 3 on your wrist, you don’t need to turn around and head back to your house!

Cellular connectivity on the Apple Watch means that you can still be reached via a phone call or a text message in the event of an emergency. The great thing about the Apple Watch is that it uses the same phone number as your paired iPhone. Thus, the transition between the two devices is virtually seamless.

Apple Heart Study

Apple has enhanced the heart rate app to monitor measurements like resting heart rate, recovery heart rate and a notification for an elevated heart rate when you don’t appear to be active. Another interesting thing to note is the tracking of heart rhythm. This is particularly helpful for those with an irregular heart beat or who may not know they have one.

Built-in GPS records the distance, speed, and route of your outdoor workouts. And an altimeter tracks elevation during your hilliest rides and highest climbs. Like all the activity you do throughout the day, your workouts count towards closing your Move, Exercise, and Stand rings. You can view your ring and workout history on your iPhone to see your performance over time so you can visualize your progress.

More Effective Wireless Power Consumption

Apple has changed things up quite a bit with the Apple Watch Series 3. Not only has the processor improved, but so has the wireless chipset. The new custom wireless chip, called W2, greatly improves the Apple Watch Series 3’s ability to connect to Wi-Fi internet and Bluetooth, without sacrificing battery life.
Apple advertises that the new W2 chipset provides 85 percent faster Wi-Fi connectivity. That means speedier downloads and synchronization with your iPhone. The new W2 chip also makes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 50 percent more power efficient, so you get the same battery life from your Apple Watch Series 3 without needing to increase the size of the wearable device.

Apple Watch Series 3 has a water resistance rating of 50 meters under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means that it may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. However, Apple Watch Series 3 should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing, or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depth.

  1. True! But not in Nigeria. The most important Apple Watch Series 3 feature which is the LTE doesn’t work in Nigeria yet. Buying this is more like getting the Apple Watch Series 2. We wait till the LTE can work here before I advise anyone to buy it
